Wow. This thing is ancient.

Maybe I should update. Most of the stuff I've written on here is so... old. It's like a time capsule.

I bought a tablet for my 23rd birthday. I haven't drawn more than 2 things since I was 18. Maybe I can get back in it.

gonna make my excuses quickly, seeing as to how our power's out and i'm only doing this because i couldn't think of too much else to do...

i admit, i'm a slacker in the most thorough sense of the word. i was never good at the social aspect of dA, much less getting any work done to put up here. maybe i can fix some of that this summer.

also, i'm trying to pull myself out of an "anime-style rut", as i like to call it. if anyone has any advice on helping me develop into my own style (it can still have anime ties, it probably will, but i'd rather be able to have someone look at my art and go "yeah, that's by lacey bruner/wingless" than look at my art and go "yeah, that's some nice anime").... then please, by all means, go ahead and comment on the frontpage, in my deviations, anywhere... i'm totally open to criticism, and i'm looking for any that i can get right now. trying to grow artistically is hard, and i'm just looking for help.

as for the rest, i just posted "Backslider", a sketch that's more practice than actual work (hence the lack of anything challenging drawn into the picture)... and i'm going to try to post my last two art projects, the contour set, and "Darth", my 2D final, in the next day or night or so. (but that's only if I'm efficient, which I never am.)

and then i plan on playing a hardcore game of dA catchup.

sometime when i was busy with art projects and work and not passing my classes, i got to be 12 hits away from 2500.

this is duly impressive.

and if ya'll can think of any words that sound good after the word "darth", lemme know. i have to get 20 collages done. completed so far are "darth time", "darth flight", and "darth dogma", with darth dogma being the best.

and pending is "darth children". amuses me for some reason.

just to let you know where i stand with things....

picked the Lulu sketch i started for brian ancient days ago. i've improved as an artist since, but i'm hoping i can get the background i have in my mind down onto paper and then get the bugger finished. and i have that old old pic of his vampire character i never finished coloring. that goes on the list too.

i still have every intent to draw derisa for my dearest melanie. i might start that tonight and do it inbetweens on stuff.

the same goes with the pic of sushi i want to draw for nitro, and have wanted to draw for a while now. i actually found myself doodling her on my math notes last week, and it didn't suck. i might scan it just so i have it for my own morbid purposes...

and in other news, i'm backing out of a request i was gonna do for nightfox. he was the last one on my self-imposed list, so i'm backing out of his first. there are three that he wants colored though, so i've printed those out and i'm working on those as we speak, just so i don't lose my mad playa swerve or something.

as for the rest, pray for me or something. classes have picked up and i'm trying to still live around it. the full-time student part-time working girl thing is tough. whatever. i get paid. i just wanna keep my stupid 4.0 GPA. dagnabbit.

okay. so. katak-chan and supernitro both got 2k. so. yeah.

since i suck and haven't been around, maybe they get to choose the punishment. or maybe i'll just draw them something and hope it doesn't suck. so throw the ideas at me, luvs!
